Countdown to the Big Day: Sunday, 26 November 2023

The clock is ticking, and we can't wait to see you at the starting line! Make sure your gears are ready, and your spirits are high. It's going to be an incredible day filled with passion, purpose, and pedalling.

Announcing the Prize for the Highest Fundraiser!

We're excited to reveal a fantastic Prize for your fundraising efforts. The participant who raises the highest amount for our cause will be awarded a scenic flight with Paradise Seaplanes!

Riders' Briefing: Key Information for a Seamless Ride

Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a first-timer, this briefing is a must-read to ensure you're well-prepared for the ride.

It is a very challenging Charity Ride, not a race!

  1. All Queensland Road Rules apply.
  2. There will be vehicles on the road.
  3. There will be 2 motorbike police patrolling the course.
  4. There will be 2 moto medic motorbikes patrolling the course.
  5. The marshalls are there to direct you and warn you, they cannot stop traffic.
  6. When riding with others look after each other. Call obstacles, "car up", "car back", etc.
  7. You have a duty of care to other riders in the ride.
  8. If you pull out, you must let officials know. We need to account for every rider that starts.
  9. The ride concludes at 8.00am. It is a 3 hour event. Its all our permit allows.
  10. There will be a follow/support vehicle on the course.
  11. All riders must sign out at the end. Record the number of hills you completed and and the time you took.
  12. Be aware of cars on the course and call them through when it is safe.
  13. Don't follow the rider in front of you as they may be on a different hill.
  14. The Jones Road turn into Lindsay Road is the most dangerous on the course. Slow down!
  15. If the road is wet give yourself more time to brake and avoid painted surfaces.
  16. In case of rain we may call off the event.
  17. Descending Mons. - You descend Mons Road twice, the first time you turn left at the roundabout, the second time you do a u turn at the roundabout.
  18. Descending Dixon. - You descend Dixon twice. The first time you turn left at the roundabout the second time you go straight ahead at the roundabout and come back to the finish.
  19. The ride will commence at 4.54 to allow riders to be at the start point by 5.00am.
  20. The first 2 km will be neutral. Stay behind the lead motorbike till you get past the Dixon Road rounabout. The strava segment will start just after the Dixon Roundabout but finish at USC stadium.
